Songwriting

Just a quick one for songwriters.

I like writing, not for any reason but it seemed the "common" thing to do when you sing and play and instrument.
However, I only have religious songs and when I've tried to write a secular one, it seems wrong; the words don't flow as well and it seems purposeless compared to a worship song that can be simple yet so touching.

Any ways of getting round this?
Is it a necessary bad thing that I struggle to write secular lyrics?

Post away si vous plait :)

I'm waiting... waitng...

Okay, seeing as this is my first blog in the world of blogging, i'm gonna keep the introduction short and sweet.

I'm not a fan of waiting at the best of times but when it comes to Godly things, it seems to be a tad more frustrating. I think this might be because I know that my God has an ultimate plan for me leaving me impartial to any paths made for me as long as I stick to them and choose God's way.

But, sometimes don't you feel like you want things now and you think you know best?
However, I know that God has things under control and overall, His plan will by far exceed my expectations and hopes.
Does this still allow room for frustration?
Or again, in time, will this become easier to deal with?

What do we think?

Thanks

Emma
